Dunwoody residents, including myself, were shocked and saddened by the murder of a young Dunwoody father, Russell Sneiderman, who was dropping off his two-year-old son at Dunwoody Prep Daycare in Dunwoody Village when he was shot multiple times at close range.
Here's the latest from the Atlanta-Journal Constitution and the Dunwoody Crier, but those articles are about a week old. The most recent news was that the victim's wife and the suspect in custody worked together at General Electric, but police have refused to comment on any relationship between the two. A candlelight vigil was scheduled and then suddenly cancelled. Dunwoody police are keeping extremely tight-lipped about the investigation so there's been nothing but speculation.
The murder suspect, Hemy Neuman, lived in the East Cobb area and apparently attended Georgia Tech. Neuman requested a public defender at his first court appearance on January 5th. His next court appearance will be February 8th.
